A Letter from our President

I was told at a young age that Time Flies when you are having fun. As I look back, it is still hard for me to imagine that we are preparing for our 5th Ft. Lauderdale Boat Show. That is correct. It has been over five years since I founded MARITME FINANCE!
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our clients, dealers, brokers and vendors that have supported us during the past five years. I appreciate their continued support. I would also like to thank our exceptionally dedicated and professional employees and sales staff. The efforts of Maritime’s crew are vital to our many past and future accomplishments. Some notable accomplishments are:
1. Expansion: Opened a regional office in SC in 2002
2. Corporate Headquarters: Purchased our office building in Ft. Lauderdale, FL in 2003.
3. Sources: Signed operating agreements with 12 major lending institutions throughout the country. This ensures our clients will receive the most competitive rates and terms for their yacht financing needs.
4. Coverage: Continuing coverage at all major Boat Shows on the East Coast.
5. Marketing: Support and Sponsorship of major Fishing Tournaments and Rendezvous in the US as well as from the Bahamas to Costa Rica, SA.
6. Growth: Successfully funded in excess of $350,000,000 in yacht loans since inception.
7. New Products: Launched RV financing program during 2004.

Most recently, we have joined together with many prominent Marine Lending Service Companies to form an association that is specific to our industry. The association is “Professional Association of Marine Lenders” and I will be serving as the President. The goal of the Association is to provide a unified voice for the service companies engaged in the YACHT FINANCING business, to maintain industry integrity, initiate adherence to an industry-wide code of ethics and strengthen industry standards. Maritime is also proud members of the national Marine Bankers Association, Florida Yacht Brokers Association and Marine Industry Association of South Florida.
I hope you enjoy our newsletter and find it informative.
